About Kardyna

Kardyna develops vehicle-based road monitoring for municipalities.

Origin

From an accident to a working system

Alex crashed his motorcycle after hitting a pothole. Kardyna was born.

After the crash, Alex began looking into how road conditions are monitored. Scheduled inspections capture conditions at one point in time, while roads continue to change between surveys.

He began developing Kardyna to collect condition data more frequently. Sensors fitted to vehicles record surface events and locations as they drive, producing maps and maintenance records for municipal teams to review.

The objective is to give road managers more frequent condition data without requiring more manual surveys.
